Rebecca says "Adult classes are varied and busy, full of enthusiasm and laughter.  But I suppose in some ways the children's classes are a speciality of mine as we have been very successful in our local show with prize winning quilts!  The girls (and boys) learn lots of sewing skills - not just quilting and they are all passionate!  Our classes currently run in local community venues, but from Monday 1st October they will run from our shop.  This is an exciting new departure for us as we have more facilities and a better sewing specific environment!"

Inis Oirr

My friend Alissa who lives in Inis Oirr introduced me to her mum Mary who is a great quilter and founder of the island's quilting group. She gave me great tips when I was just starting and she even brought me my first ruler and rotary cutter from Wisconsin. Although I haven't got the time now to visit them, I totally recommend any quilter to visit the island, go to the little cafe that Alissa runs and you will see the beautiful work these ladies do!
